Located close to Conegliano, the estate covers a vast area where vines, fragrances and flavours are allowed to retain their natural authenticity and constitute the essential raw materials for wines of the highest quality.
Products are constantly improved through a passionate quest suspended between the past and the future: on the one hand, a profound connection with the oldest wine making traditions of the Veneto region, with its exquisite grape varieties, and on the other the continuous development of methods for the production of grapes, according to international enological standards.
The climate of this region, sheltered by the Alpine foothills from the icy temperatures of Northern Europe, is characterised by mild springs and moderate winters which, together with the gravelly soil in which the vines are grown, represent ideal conditions to enable the full expression of the
fragrances and flavours.
This extraordinary combination of climate, morphology and soil composition, together with a longstanding winegrowing tradition, produces elegant wines with remarkable personality.
The vineyards
The quality of our wine has always been our main objective. To achieve this goal we focus our attention every day on the vinyeards, our most important asset.
Our task is therefore to protect, cultivate and take care of the vines and to do this in the most natural way possible.
Almost all of our vineyards enjoy prolonged exposure to the sun thanks to the propitious arrangement of the land from east to west, with a positive influence on the growth of the plants and on the maturation of the grapes. In addition, the grass cover prevents surface erosion of the soil and promotes water reabsorption, establishing a favourable ecosystem which is essential for the health of the grapes.
Our crop management favours quality over quantity, reducing production per plant through constant product selection. Great care is taken every day looking after the vineyards, a process which
begins before the harvest and continues throughout the year. Thanks to precise manual work on the vines, the pre-selection of bunches and constant supervision of the entire production activity, it culminates in the grape harvest, the picking and transport to the cellar.
The wines
We grow different qualities of red and white grapes which are typical of the region, from which we produce multiple award-winning wines such as the Merlot IGT and various types of sparkling and semi-sparkling wines, depending on the type of grapes and the methods employed. Prosecco plays the leading role in these vineyards, located in the heart of the Treviso controlled designation of origin zone.
For centuries this noble grape variety has produced a refined product, famous throughout the world for its versatility, as frizzante (semi-sparkling), tranquilo (still) and spumante (sparkling) wines, and is the perfect choice for any occasion.
Prosecco grapes are harvested earlier than other grapes to maintain high acid levels, ensuring the freshness and perlage over time. The harvest is carried out by hand, a fundamental requirement for selecting healthy, mould-free grapes to ensure the quality of the end product by avoiding any early fermentation. The grapes are immediately given a very delicate pressing to eliminate as much of the lees as possible, which are then eliminated through a slow, careful decanting process. The result is an extremely clean must which, through modern stabilisation, filtration and bottling processes, ensures a wine without imperfections.
